I doubt it. Valentines Day is verboten in my world. Cursed among all cursed.

Happy VD, in advance, to all!

I don't celebrate it either.  I would rather do nice things year round for my hubby.

February 15th . . .  shot-in-the-ass Day!

Pennicilin.

I too prefer to gift on off-holiday days. Unexpected, because I found something "just for them", or because they needed or deserved it.

Organized giving rubs me the wrong way. And thats not good.

For that reason alone I would love to go!...but alas I have not the cash nor the time... Sad

I'm not big on Valentine's either.... Though, most of the time I will go out to buy some of those 50 cent candies, & have been know to hand out some, usually to people who catch me eating them. LOL. I guess it counts as organized giving. That's the only time of year I ever see them.  Tongue

I won't be attending but I have several friends that are going (and several friends that are running it too!) Lucien has something planned for us and it is not that. I am not anti-Valentine's Day...I do feel that love should be expressed EVERY day (and it is in the von Wolfe house!) but I also feel that the ability to love is something deserving of a special day/celebration. I consider it one of our greatest gifts. It's a nice ritual in my opinion, when you ignore the greeting card and boxed chocolate nonsense. But back to the ball...take note, it is the ANTI-Valentine's ball so for those of you who are hatin' on the holiday, this is a nice alternative. Smiley Being friends with those who put it together, I've gotten a good glimpse of what it will be and it is shaping up to be a great time. The location is spacious, there are lots of entertainers and having it be 21 and over, with a dress code strikes me as appealing since you will be dealing with a classier, more authentic group of individuals (hopefully).

Anywho...if anyone decides to go, be safe and have fun!! Have a drink for me!

It does indeed sound fun in all its anti VD celebrating.

If someone goes please post pictures. Maybe that we inspire us for next year, perhaps.

Happy Love Day Everyone. If nothing else, tell someone you love them (cause you don't do it enough). Do a simple good deed for no reason. Tell a stranger they are beautiful.

Have a great holiday. I think I will stay home this year & love myself (for a change).

I'm not anti-V Day...but being a single individual, it's hard to get too choked up about it. I do believe in the concept of love, but have yet to receive the full effect of it yet. You however, my dear, I would like to hear more from for it appears you've been able to have an insight into community events. As for the dress code, can you share how that is set up? I'm rather curious as to what people "have" to wear.

Hmmm. Don't forget what happened to the curious cat?

One has to give info to get info. That has not changed.
Mutually earned trust is paramount.

Sometimes. . . love just ain't enough.

Yes I see.

Perhaps simply pictures of the event will do.
